Jon Nix is the co-founder of TurnStyle Films and the award-winning Director & Editor of two feature films. Beyond Barricades: The Story of Anti Flag, about the Pittsburgh band’s longterm political and musical work. He is following it up with Don’t Fall in Love with Yourself, a documentary on enigmatic artist Justin Pearson the San Diego Noise Punk scene.

He has spent over a decade in the world of film and photography. Having directed and edited 20+ music videos for such bands as Cloud Nothings, SkeletonWitch, Direct Hit!, The Locust, Anti-Flag, For Your Health, Signals Midwest, All Dinosaurs & more.

His photography was used by Dreamwheel as single art for their debut EP. His writing has been published by Maudlin House & Hello America.

His 2015 short documentary Draw Hard, about Cleveland comic artist John G was the winner of multiple awards. His other short films include: Onlooker, The Naked Zinester & The Velvet Wasp.

He has made guest appearances on podcasts including The Peer Pleasure Podcast, That One Time on Tour, Good Pods Have Short Names, Podpunk Podcast, Neon Brainiacs, Let’s Chat! w/ Chris Revill, The Hate Flow, The Default Setting, B-Movie Mania, Second Shot & more.
