Shedding light on the trials and tribulations of playing politically charged music for over 20 years.  Featuring interviews with the band and contemporaries such as Tom Morello (Rage Against the Machine), Billy Bragg, Tim McIlrath (Rise Against), Brian Baker (Bad Religion), Chris Cresswell (The Flatliners), Tom May and Greg Barnett (The Menzingers).

Don’t Fall in Love with Yourself (In Production)

A feature-length documentary that explores the life of enigmatic musician and artist, Justin Pearson. From childhood tragedy and his roots in the San Diego punk scene, to his appearance on Jerry Springer and rise to cult celebrity status. An in-depth look at a career made out of blood, sweat and spit. The film's interviews include Dave Lombardo (Slayer), Eric Paul (Arab on Radar), Gabe Serbian & Bobby Bray (The Locust), Travis Ryan (Cattle Decapitation), Jeremy Bolm (Touché Amore), Alexis Marshall & Jon Syverson (Daughters) , Molly Neuman (Brat Mobile), Becky DiGiglio and more. The film successfully raised $16K in finishing funds via Kickstarter.

Draw Hard

DRAW HARD is a documentary short about illustrator and comic artist, John G. In Cleveland, his artwork is everywhere, but most don't know the face behind the gritty imagery of "The Lake Erie Monster" comic series and Melt Bar and Grilled. In this short documentary, director Jon Nix turns his camera on this enigmatic figure. Exploring his past, present and future by interviewing contemporary artists, friends and the man himself. DRAW HARD reveals secrets of John G's past, including the accident that left him paralyzed. It is both the story of an artist as well as an exploration of how people confront and conquer tragedy.

Full Disclosure is a documentary short about secrets and the people they keep. Comprised of nine interviews with anonymous people shot in the summer of 2016, interviewees were asked to share one thing that had never spoken about with anyone. This is what they shared with us.

Three Short Experimental Documentaries

These are three short experimental documentaries I shot on Digital and VHS during COVID-19. I was looking for a project I could throw myself into that would be a fun editing challenge, while being safe to shoot with minimal crew. I ended up speaking with three local female artists about their ambitions, insecurities, acceptance and the need for a creative outlets.
